Hi there, and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Christina, and this blog is a reflection of my journey in faith, family, and homemaking—a space where I hope we can connect, grow, and encourage one another in the unique callings God has placed on our lives.
A Little About My Story
I didn’t grow up in a picture-perfect home. My parents divorced when I was young, and I found myself navigating the heartache and confusion that came with it. Add to that the burden of a parent who struggled with substance abuse, and it wasn’t long before I found myself in the midst of an identity crisis.
I believed there was a God, but I didn’t believe I needed Him. Instead, I walked through life on my own terms, chasing what I thought would fill the void in my heart. For years, I carried the weight of self-reliance and brokenness, not realizing the freedom and healing that was waiting for me in Christ.
It wasn’t until I became a mother six years ago that everything changed. Motherhood wrecked me—in the best possible way. Suddenly, the cracks in my foundation became glaringly obvious, and I realized I couldn’t do this life on my own. It was in the chaos and beauty of becoming a mom that I saw my desperate need for a Savior.
My walk with the Lord began just four years ago, but in those years, He has completely transformed my mind and heart. His grace has reshaped the way I see myself, my family, and the life I’m called to live. This blog is my way of sharing the incredible work He’s done—and continues to do—in my life.
Why Abide and Flourish?
The name “Abide and Flourish” comes from John 15:5, where Jesus says, “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit.” This verse has become a cornerstone in my life, reminding me daily that true growth and flourishing only happen when we are rooted in Christ.
My goal here is simple: to encourage you in your own walk with the Lord and to remind you that you’re not alone in the beautiful (and sometimes messy) work of motherhood, homemaking, and faith. I’ll share insights from my personal journey, lessons the Lord has taught me, and practical encouragement for navigating the many responsibilities we carry.
